I live in a small town in central Minnesota -- the land of 10,000 lakes, the Mall of America, 3M, Caribou Coffee, the Mayo Clinic, and Jesse Ventura! Did you know that Charles Schultz, Betty Crocker, Judy Garland, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the Pillsbury Doughboy were all born here?
Although not yet famous, I was also born in Minnesota. I attended Holy Cross Grade School in Pearl Lake and Rocori High School in Cold Spring. I then completed an associate of applied science degree at St. Mary's Junior College as a physical therapy assistant. Other life and work experiences include the airline industry, medical transcription, the construction industry, and
owning a retail store .
I married my husband, Bob, after graduating from St. Mary's and then worked as a physical therapy assistant until we started our family. We are the proud parents of three adult children and three grandchildren and are now enjoying the "empty nest" lifestyle.
I enjoy reading and traveling. My favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Larry McMurtry, Barbara Delinsky, Francine Rivers, and Fern Michaels. I have traveled to the Cayman Islands, Mexico, Germany, and the states of
Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, California, Texas, Nevada, Ohio, Illinois,
and Florida. I mention these because I believe any and all of our life experiences can be helpful in this line of work. Of course, my very favorite thing to do is to play with my grandchildren!
I dread our Minnesota winters and plan to take my career "on the road" in the future.
California, here I come! Someday.
